In the end of 2007, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly was a partner to the Association Alumni Centre for Interdisciplinary Post Graduate Studies (ACIPS) Sarajevo, in launching the implementation of the project "Coalition Advocacy on the Euro Integration Processes in BiH“, which continued throughout the year 2008. This project was supported by the Centre for Civic Initiatives. The goal of the project was to influence the speeding up of Eurointegration processes in our country, through a range of advocacy actions and comprehensive media campaign. This was done in two ways: indirectly via media, and directly by lobbying and having direct contacts with decision makers, but also with the BiH citizens. Within these activities, we have organised six street actions in Banja Luka where we have disseminated promotional material, talking about importance of getting closer to European Union and how to efficiently plan budget means for the purpose of strengthening European integrations, and we also held six meetings with decision makers in the RS, where we have learned about a big number of laws that were being dealt with, for the purpose of harmonisation with the EU regulations.
