This project was implemented throughout the period December 2006 – April 2008, and was carried out by two partner organisations, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka and Women to Women Sarajevo. The main goal of the project was to raise public awareness on the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence of BiH citizens, with the focus on high school pupils and university students.

During the project implementation, we have developed and published the first Study on Peace Activism in BiH that was promoted throughout the country. The study presented results of the public opinion survey, carried out on 1500 female and male citizens, but also perceptions and experiences of more than 30 peace activists, providing recommendations for the future work of peace nongovernmental organisations. Apart from this, during the project implementation we have initiated introduction of peace classes into the formal education system in both BiH entities.
