In 2008, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly carried out a project "Open University“ training centre, supported by the RS Ministry for Family, Youth and Sport. The goal of this project was to make education about human rights, peace and European integration processes available for university students and high school pupils, as well as to educate them in other areas, knowledge and skills about which they lack information.

Long term plan of Helsinki Citizens Assembly is to develop self sustaining training centre that would allow for skill focused education, training and development of youth capacities in Banja Luka and surroundings and that would assist young people in improving their knowledge and understanding of processes that our country is involved in, and strengthen their position at the labour market.
